just put a he-351 on my 1st cummins powered ford. very pleased. cools 35-40 psi alot better than hx i had on. spools a bit slower, reduced pre boost fuel by tuning afc, helped spool quiker. my concern is boost easiliy gets over 40, (guage stops at 40). egts stay under 1200, even towing uphill. i cuold probably get it hotter if i really pushed it but it runs very cool. usaully flooring it empty 50 mph to 80 empty on flat i hit around 1000*. my dads 07 5.9 runs hotter with less boost. do i need to worry about drive pressure? do i need more fuel? no waste gate hooked up yet. what do you guys see boost vs egts? thanks.

Sounds like it's doing what it should be doing. Hook the wastegate up and set it around 35-40psi and call it a day.

Opening up the wastegate size really helps the he. I drilled one out to 1.125 and but have not used it yet. The one I'm running is close to that and I can control boost no matter how much fuel I throw at it. I do have a spring wastegate instead of the stock one.
