High Idle

My truck is idling around 900-950 rpms i want it to be around 800-850 rpms but I am not sure how to adjust the idle any help would be great.

That is a normal idle. The only way I've found so far is to set the injector pop-off pressure up higher. It lowered mine to somewhere around 800rpm. Let's see wat others say.

my mechanic told me it was idling to high because when you shift into reverse or drive the truck tends to slam into that gear and he blamed it on the idle being to high

that doesn't make any sense

you just said it idles high, because it idles high

Sounds about right to me, every auto I've driven does that.

ya the idle seems right and so does the slamming into gear.

With the Adrenaline on level 0 it will go into high idle.
What level are you on?
My 99 idles about the same 850-900.
