Holset H1 series

They basically are the predecessors to the HX series turbos. The biggest difference between them is how the compressor housing is clamped on the center section.

An H1C would be similar to the HX35 and an H1E would be similar to the HX40. Just be aware that there are variations of them just like there are variations of the HX series turbos so you have to be careful with what you end up with. For example, I have an HX40 with an inducer diameter of 54mm, which obviously is not an upgrade from the stock turbos.
 
If you're talking about H1C's they came on 1st gens, and the c should be an "s" so it can stand for "suck." They have 50mm inducer compressor wheels, not good for performance.
