Hood stack??

Getting ready to put the hood stack on the 3.0 truck, i have everything to do it, but the stack will not be connected to the hood, which is not the end of the world to me, but is there any kits to bolt a stack to the hood, are on you on your own? I know grand rock was working on something, but have not heard of anything? Thanks.

If I were you I would run a 6 inch in the hood with a 5 inch hooked to the turbo below. If you run the pipe through the hood from the turbo, you will bend your hood when the engine torques up. ( even with a 6 inch hole) Been there, done that to many times.

We just finished the hood stack on Fireman450's 2wd last week. We cut a 6" hole in the hood, made a turbo pipe that goes from 4" to 5". The turbo pipe sticks through the hood about 1/2". Our 6" stack sits inside the hood about 1" below the top of the hood and is welded to the hoods frame webbing.

Heres a pic. The stack is just welded to the cross braces in the hood so it does have a little wiggle room.
