We're about to pull the motor out of a 99, no idea how bad it is yet bout to start tearin it down today... i plan on strecthing this out and hopefully having it ready for the 2010 season but this year im just gonna go on and pull the mega cab, then when i find the donor truck the clutch and turbo will probably come off for the motor im building, what im gettin at here is what would yall do, ill for sure be going with a p-pump and then springs o-rings?fire-rings? and studs and maybe go on and have the head ported and polished... What all else would yall recommend, it may just be a 2.5/2.6 puller just so i dont have to go so far to pull 2.8/3.0, but just considering i stay 2.5/2.6 with it im probably gonna top out at what 650-700hp??? so would main studs and maybe a girdle be good insurance at this level, also what about rods? i figure ill go with a differnt cam... basically what im gettin at is how far would you go with a 2.5/2.6 build, id like to just go all out but dont see that happening...
