^to maintain flow velocity and energy. Also, there would have to be a more abrupt transition to match the inlet of the low pressure turbo.

By the way, I would go with the long radius assuming space provides; this will aid in the transition of the flow between stages.

My new twins I used 4" schedule 40 pipe from mcmastercarr.com I got as tight of a radius as I could get.

why only 3" why not step up to 3.5 or 4??? and how much

i was told by mcmaster that they dont offer 3.5" diameter elbows any more...

if you look at the chart, the 3" sched 40 90* elbow has an OD of 3.5" and a ID of just over 3.xx"

If you go to a pipe supplier you can get a few more choices. tubing is measured on the OD and can be purchased in different gauge thicknesses such as 14, 12, 10 etc they make 3", 4", and 5" on the OD. Pipe is a little different if you look at his chart it should be as follows 3'=3 1/2 OD, 4"=4 1/2'', and 5"= 5 9/16 on the OD. You can also get sch 10 90s that are alittle thinner they would be about 10gauge material. 20+ years of pipefitting I should know something.

the piece in stainless, I think, will be (by itself) too short to mate the two flanges without adding to it = UGLY. Not sure about the first ones length but will be close the second is too short. What turbos are you using?

you're right about it being too short. i was planning on cutting it anyway...the downpipe will be wrapped so you wouldnt see it

i cant find anything that has longer tangent lengths, but if you want to send me in the right direction, feel free to share it

the turbos are htt 62/65/13ss & s476 from ED

thanks,

kyle

subscribed.... this is the route I am planning 62/65/14 w/475 to 480(depends), never messed with compounds though, and still to p-pumps...
