The safety kill switch is an air shut off that is spring loaded. I know that someone on here will be able to chime in with more details. How many safety items do you need help with, ITPA does not have any wierd rules that I know of.
You need driveshaft loops, one per shaft, they used to count the carrier bearing as one loop. U joint shield, most people use 6" pipe if I believe, needs to be .25" thick if steel, 3/8" if aluminum. Tranny blanket is needed. I believe also they just require a fuel kill.
Oh I thought they required the fuel kill and air . I'll have to check again, but where do I get either kind. I think the air shut off sounds easier to put on. its for a Dodge 2500 96' 12 valve
fuel kill is easy. Just wire it in with your fuel shut off. Some guys use a trailer break away switch. I just bought a 20' extension cord and but 6" off of the male end, put a 2" ring on that end wired the male end together, and then ran the cord up to a relay that kills my electric fuel pump and my shutoff solenoid.
