How difficult is it to do this?

I want to put an HE351 in my 97 12v I am told it takes a lot of custom work and that may be too hard. What exacty do I need to change and do so that it will work? I heard something about it attaching to the intercooler different and the downpipe being weird. How bad is it?

Search exactly what you want to do... there is on real good thread on how a member put one on his 12V. Didnt look that hard really.

what year 351? the WG or VGT?

Pretty simple swap if you ask me, welding skills would be nice but not needed. I put one on a 91 model VE engine about a year ago and I think I spent about 3 hours on the install to make it look like a factory job.
