Like the title says how far do you travel?

I pull with The TTTPA here in Texas, I live 30 min south of fort worth. Im trying stay up in the points but I missed a pull last week end because I was at TS and Diesel Power Challenge, no big deal. My main deal is the pull this weekend is over 5 hours away and we have to pull friday and saterday. That to me is a long haul for a pull, with the fuel money and hotel stay is it even worth going to possibly win $100+/- just to get the points. most of the pulls are 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours away, but there all 2 day pulls.

Maybe im just to low budget to be doing this, should I get a new hobby?

I cant really drag race an 8500lb 4x4 dually, dont really want to anyway.

im looking at 1-2 hour range right now. main ly beign a time thing... and money... currently dont have the fund to do a points race yet...

10 min - 8 hrs. for a hat but lets hope the hat thing changes this year

I don't like to go more than 3 hours +/-.

Any more than that and you're into an overnighter with hotel for me and crew and food and fuel and just more $$$$ and time.

Time seems to be the most precious commodity these days.

I am usually looking at anywhere between 2-6 hours. Even more if the J&H Rally was going on this year. It takes like 10-12 hours to get to Redding from So Cal, especially towing.
Money is usually the factor, I try to hit up as many as i can but most hooks are trophy's only and no payouts. $30-$40 each hook + fuel gets expensive.

we trevel between 10min - 5 hr and those 5hr trips shure cost a lot. I wish the pay outs were worth it but i guess i do it for the love of it.

we dont have a local organization with a 2.6 or 2.8 street class because there is so much drama involved that every org drops the class. you either have to go to brush pulls or run in a 3.0/unlimited class.

there is only one pull that is less than an hour from me, everything else is 1-2 hours except a select few that i will travel further to.

5 min to 3.5 hours we have quite a bit of pulls, but not all are sanctioned. I could name probably 15 within 1.5 hours

I Travel to far and im sure everyone does. Beginning of april made a 7 hr journey one way for a test and tune and a 5 hour hike for a points running pull last weekend. But now they are coming more common and local this time of the year. On average they will be 1- 4 hours away.

our pulls are typically between 15min and 3or 4 hours away. I can usually just make it a one dayer. they are normally on sat or sunday. sunday ones are the worst. get home at 3-5am and have to be at work at 7 am.

The venue I travel to is about 1:45 hours away. I don't plan on going any farther. As of right now I drive the truck to the pulls. If I break, I don't want to be looking for a tow 4+ hours away.

I travel anywere from 1 hour to Ukiah CA, to 48 hours to Bowling Green KY :)

Gonna have one in my backyard almost this year, 10 minutes away at the Sonoma County Fair :)
