How long do your brakes last?

Just curious for those who pull a lot, and mainly automatic trucks, how long are you getting out of a set of brakes? Is there an aftermarket brand that lasts during power braking and coming off the line? Just curious I am only getting about 8000 miles, or 55 hooks out of a set

If you spool it right on the line, then just let off the breaks and go with it, you pretty much shouldnt ever have to replace them. Do you ride them out a little ways, or what?

ride out maybe 5- 10 feet, but it spools to 24 psi. I have to stand on it to keep them holding from about 12 psi up
