I need a locker for the 94 2500 auto truck and I am seeing two options. Fritz's site says they are 35-spline but when I enter all the truck info at Summit it says 32-spline. Tell me I dont have to pull it apart to figure it out!

8 bolts will tell you what you need to know. :) I can't find where I put my spare axles, so hopefully someone else wants to look. With a 94 auto, you should have the dana 70. Have you run the numbers on the axle ID tag? Fritz's site lists those:

Dana Bill of Materials #
1994-95 2500 2WD 605590
1994-95 2500 4WD 605588
1996-96 2500 2WD 605787

Before you spend money on a locker for a 70 I would think real hard what your gonna do with the truck. In truck pulling on a good clay track with over 500HP your pinion on the 70 will shear!

Hey i have my 70 apart right now. Just broke the axle i can count them tomorrow. But i would also really consider going with a 80. My splines were twisted in the 3rd member. I had to pull the 3rd member out and drill and tap the piece of axle and use a slide hammer to get the dang thing out. I am going the 80 route as soon as i get the money.
