How much weight?

Hello there. I am thinking of getting into the pulling side of the house now, Since there is actually a club here that puts on regular events. Im looking to build a weight bracket for the front. I have no idea what my truck weighs at this point. Its an 05 crew cab short bed with factory bumpers. No tool box or auxiliary cell. So im wondering about how much weight i can hang off the front? My class is 8200 pounds. Thanks for any and all replies.

i'd geuss the truck weighs 7,200 or so?

7200 sounds pretty close, if you want to know for sure just run by a truck stop with a set of scales.

I have an 04.5 quad cab and on the scale today full of fuel it weighed 7340.
