How to convert NV273 to NV271?

Have ever somebody convert electronic transfer case NV273 electronic gear selector to mechanical type like in NV271?

Is this easy job? or mission impossibe?

I would guess the case to be different depending on where the actuator motor is at, if it's external should be straightforward, if internal could be a nightmare.

i've heard that there basicly the same, case wise, if so just swap them out and punch out the hole in the floor. you would have to find a shifter and mabey a few other things. but im not sure that there the same.
