how to get more boost or less heat on cruise

going down the road pulling 25 gross im bout 10 pds boost at 1200 degrees. i need more air or .....

samller injectors?

how to lower the egt or increase the boost..


its driveable..kinda smokey..below 55 im outta overdrive ot it hits 1400 no problem...
 
If its the truck in your sig, I would say its that loose II turbine side thats causing that possibly. What size injectors?

02 auto. 62/74/14 ...ind inj hrvp...7x010 inj from weston...b/d intake...

its fine til it goes into overdrive. then it gets hot right quick unless i down shift it. if the rpm's below 2k..its creeping into the 1400 range at about 15 psi boost
 
Smaller turbine is your best bet, smaller injectors will make it worse. A cam might get your low rpm boost up a bit.

It's not 100% worked out yet, but I might have a solution to your problem on my truck now. I'm still testing on this setup, but after today I'm fairly confident that with some more tweaking it will be a 62 that will run cool but still spool fast.

Does it have a spawn mounted below or beside it? I just do not care for my 62, however I may not like what I try next either.
 
I have always liked my 62/71-14...even with the VP. It's a bit better with ol grand dad feeding it. Though I have never hauled that heavy...I like skinny chicks.

I also like Gary's set ups...as an example of what not to do.

Until I can give a full report on this turbo, I'm going to stay kinda quiet on it. I will say that what I saw today made me very happy. Happy enough that once I have the few remaining kinks worked out I'm going to throw about 20K with some good wind resistance behind the truck just to see what it does.

Then I'll come on here and tell ya'll all about it :D

i in man..my next trubo will be the 63/68/14...seems to be the best all around. southeast power here is gonna build me a gated one to my specs....

if i could ever sell mine im getting one of these asap
 
make ma a fair offer..i aint had no luck at 1500 shipped so....

or buy me a 63/68 and ill trade ya....mines always been cooled. polished. wastegate at 45...
