How to tune a Tial wastegate?

I got the gate used and set it up how the previous owner had it. I used a plastic line from the turbo to the top of the gate and it worked for about 3 pulls before I burned a hole in it. I replaced it with a steel braided line and it didnt open. Is there a way to make sure its still working or a way to change when it opens? Thanks
 
im not sure what style your gate is but the one that was on my twins i used a pressure regular between the gate and the intake horn because the gate had a set spring pressure...and on mine the top of the gate was the "blow off" i guess you call it not were the boost pressure was pipeed too you probbaly have a different style im just tryin to help you out
 
i think you need to put manifold pressure to the lower port and then regulated pressure. to the top port to set total pressure. use regulated air pressure to the bottom port to see when it starts to open. lets say 25psi. then add 10 psi to the top of the actuator for a total of 35. i belive thats how it works. call tial to make sure.
 
Ok just curious but where would be a cheap place to find a regulator? Thanks for the help guys.
 
Any ideas on where to get a regulator? I went to a local auto parts store and got one but it doesnt work very well. Where are you guys getting yours at? Thanks

Napa Carries a few nice ones adam ill be setting mine up this weekend gonna be pretty trick!
