Diesel nasty has me thinking. The exhaust header has been out for a wile anyone have feedback? Please no theory's, just experience with them.Home made or otherwise.Post how they worked for you.

Mine worked well with a different sound than most. It ended up cracking after ~20 passes. It cracked where I'd ported it too thin around the flange, but since it's mild steel I'll repair it myself. It also didn't shrink as much as the stock 12v piece that I ran the last time.

Running a SS tuned length on our 2.6 truck. I agree it has a differant sound and spools our 66 very fast.

Thanks for posting.I see that 60 other people want to know also.Anyone else want to help?

I did not like mine at all. It was too big and made spoolup very slow, and EGT's went up big time.

Over on the cummins forum there is a guy running one he loved it but went to flip it over later to build some twins and would not fit with twins...FYI

Well this is exactly what you dont want to see is two Completely different opinions on something. Now its impossible to figure out if you want one. You have one guy saying he loves it and spoolup is amazing and another guy that says he hates it and it hinders spoolup. :bang

Thats just my experience, I won't say who made it but simply that it was a very early design and I am sure the newer ones are improved.

No its fine Grncummins,Every truck setup is different. This thread is just a gathering pot of information. We need all feedback.Thankyou everybody keep it comming.

I'm definitely going to watch this thread. I don't have any experience with exhaust headers for our cummins, but I would tend to think that it would hinder spoolup. In part because of the extra tube length dissipating heat. But then again it's all in how it designed I guess.:rockwoot:

make sure its coated internally to retain the heat.
