HT3B. get it rebuilt or rebuild it myself?

anybody ever rebuild their own turbo? my 3b is in need of a rebuild, mostly it needs new seals: blowin oil into the cold piping and exhaust too i think. $350-$400 to get it rebuilt or $90 for a rebuild kit. i'm pretty sure i could do it, but i want some opinions first.

you could do it yourself with minimal risk, just mark the location of the nut and wheels for balance purposes. If there is too much shaft play there may already be damage inside though.
