HTT pro street 66 rebuild?

i have a guy here locally thats got a pro street 66 he said he'd sell me for 250 bucks, is it worth it to buy it and rebuild it? or is it gonna cost more to overhaul it than its worth? im thinkin about snatchin it up, but i want some opinions from you turbo experts:ft:

Depends on whats wrong with it man. Do you know what the problem is? or are you wanting to rebuild just because? i would say a standard rebuild (bearings, piston rings, thrust plate and thrust bearing) is gonna cost around $300-$400. It will only go up from there if there is more damage.

it just needs freshened up i guess, he was still runnin it when he took it off, says its just gettin sloppy and needs rebuilt

I had a phatshaft 66 rebuilt by columbus for a pinch over 700 with shiping, it needed a new turbine wheel, all new seals,bearings, and a new wastegate cover plate.

i ordered a rebuild kit for 150 bucks today, im sure its all im gonna need for it, but we'll see

Good buy....even if it needs a wheel you still got a good deal...where did you get the rebuild kit from??
