I just upgraded my injectors to 75 hp. Now I can get hot with out trying. Is the banks upgrade down pipe worth installing to make it true 4 inch exhaust because right now I have the 3.5 to 4 inch exhaust.

Or just go to another turbo that is ready for the 4 inch down pipe?

What are you considering too hot. I ru 100s in my 99. With hx35 and unless im towin 15k i dont have a problem.
I dont think the banks elbow wpuld hlep much

Im running like 800 or so running 80. Also smoke alot. Dont forget im stacked with edge attitude and smarty s03

thats what I was thinking. I was kind of leaning toward a s300. They say they can take more beating than the hx40

I've actually wanted to see If this elbow would help for a long time. It's not going to help performance like you think, but may help for heat.

you think 800* is hot? :hehe:

is your pyro pre-turbo or post-turbo?

if it is pre-turbo, then you can safely run 1200* all day long...

800* is like my average cruise temp :hehe:

and that's at low boost..soon as i floor it it goes up to like 1200 and starts backin down to 1100 and kinda hovers around there all the way to redline... (I have compounds)

if 800* is as hot as your truck gets on the pyro, you have nothing to worry about...and don't bother with any banks products on a cummins...waste of money.

Consider your power goals, and goals for your truck. You don't want to buy something that is going to be to small later, or to big now.

Maybe for the time being turn your Edge down, or take the smarty out unless your racing or pulling. And like said before if 800 degrees is as hot as it gets you're fine.
