hx55 spooling problems puller need help

ok for starters im a 12v man jus tryin to help a buddy of mine out.... he kinda tight on money right now so we come across this charger cheap.. its a hx55 with a 22cm exhaust side..... this is a straight pullin truck no road drive'n...... hooked twice last night never would light the charger....... truck has a big vp44 pump from industrial 150air dog... not sure wat injectors but told they were 150s but they were in the truck when he got in but not sure..... not box at all on the truck right now....... had a quad on it but he sold it to buy injection pump when stock pump went down.... wat im wonderin befor we start throwin money around would a good box help it out and get it lit or should he go with a diff charger........ plannin on p-pump this winter so dont wanna have too much money in all the vp stuff jus wanna make it through rest of year

Exhaust side is a bit big. If its a manual not to bad but an auto, forget it. You need some kinda electronic fueling device or your not gonna get crap out of it. With out them its gonna cut back fuel at 2700 that turbo need fuel at 3k to light. Either get a smaller turbo or by a drag comp for 300 used.

Agreed. All but the best VP's (if they actually exist) dont fuel well up high. Get a box on there for its boost fooling ability, or run some nasty big injectors and a boost fooler, I think theyre pretty cheap IIRC.

well right now im tryin to get another quad..... truck had one on it up untill last thurs.. i left the key on while puttin charger on went to start it batt was dead.... i was hot and hungry so i put the charger on it(was on low not a boost or nothin 2 amp i think)went in the house eat and cool off some..come back outside and the ****in computer for the quad was preaty much on fire burnt two holes all the way through it!! wat is weird about the whole thing none of the wire'n harness is messed up no burnt wires

i could see if i had the charger on boost or somethin but it wasnt....

also 150s are small, way to small for that pump. get those out out before you do damage to the pump. i reccomend a box and some 250+ sticks
