a friend of mine is running a stock turbo on his 99 dodge, has 150 hp sticks, edge huice with att, and a cold air kit, and he says he has a line on a hx 55 for real cheap, and i was wondering what gains would one get by doing a hx55 instead of the 35? and how hard to run dual turbos with a hx 55 and a stock?, who knows, i might try and buy it off him.

It will spool fairly slow. If it has the good exhaust housing(17cm i think), then it will spool 2400rpm or later. If it has a bigger one, it will spool worse.

It wont be a real driveable turbo, and wont be good for towing, but will make some good power in a pulling application if you have the fuel for it.

my friend Steven daily drives his 55 with no problems spool will be alot slower than the 35 but when it lights hold on!

yea, if i end up with it, will it fit a stock manifold? if it does, i'll just try it for a few days, i drive the truck everyday, so maybe its not the turbo for me.
