Hello All!
My name is Clint, I'm in michigan. Born and raised on a farm, used to driving diesel farm equipment and gasoline vehicles. I picked up Diesel Power Magazine 2-3 years ago and have been a faithfull reader since. My reason for registering is directly related to GRAMON'S DIESEL PERFORMANCE's Jeff Garmon. I read his article for the third time and decided to write him and then I found this site. FANTASTIC. My project to be "was" ( not so sure after finding someone that says 55mpg with a 5.9 is possible ) a '88 Chevy c1500 std cab longbox repower to a 4btaa. I have the standard HM290 5 speed manual and 3.08 axle ratio. I was hoping that this combination would propell me to 30-35 mpg. I'm going to lower the whole truck 2-4 inches to reduce drag and install a hard tonneau. I've got some work to do. But first I'm starting with the education!!!
