Hypertech Max Energy

One of my friends has a completely stock 24v and is looking to get a little more umph when towing. I found a hypertech locally for dirt cheap, but are they worth spending money on or should he save for something better?

He is not a diesel addict like most and could really care less about alot of hp. Would a power puck or edge EZ be a better choice? I am no programmer expert and would like to get some insight from people that have experience.

It's fine for what you described it for, should give a"50"hp bump and help mileage a bit too..
