My 99 24v has stopped running, this is what happened. I have a smarty tunner on the truck and I went to stack a edge and didn't take the smarty out before install. And now the truck is saying no bus where the mileage is and won't fire.

I have taken off and the smarty will not communicate with the truck. I can't even get a tech two to work.

It says on edges web page that if I put them on in the order that I did it could cause ECM failure or engine damage.

It's not a tunner, iam just saying what it says on the web page. And you my be right on the tech 2. We put on the dodge computer witch ever on that is.

Bad connection somewhere. "No bus" must be refering to no Can Bus communication.

check fuses, check pcm ground on passenger side battery, is all else checks good, disconnect both batteries, and touch the terminals together. Let it sit for like 20 mins just in case, then reconnect batteries and see if it will start. I had a buddy do this to his 99 he was screwing around with a smarty and a quad xzt.

i had the same problem when i installed my edge juice/attitude...damn thing had a faulty resistor in it and it did some wild thing to my ecm. and edge did NOTHING to help me out (it was a BRAND NEW) out of the box juice/attitude too. i took my truck to cummins bridgeway and they said a pin to my ecm came loose somehow? to this day i had no idea how that happened, but it happened the second i plugged in my edge for the first time.
