Wassup guys, I know this is going to sound stupid. But I was randomly thinking about intercoolers.

I completely understand air-to-air. But how exactly and under what circumstances does an air-to-water work. I have seen some high horsepower sled pullers use ice boxes but is that considered air-to-water?

yes that is an air to water.... it really uses the same basic principle, except that it uses ice water to cool the air temp instead of outside air temp.
