I need a core!!!

I have been looking around recently trying to find a 47re core. everyone i find want $1500+ for a junk core! i know many people on here have done the nv4500 to 47re swap. where do you find a core thats not going to cost me an arm and a leg? i live in colorado, and work at a tranny shop and i cant find anything for less than $1000. and also where can i get the block to trans adapter plate? thanks in advance

Any truck that this subforum supports has a 47re automatic in it, plus '96-'98 12v trucks and some '03 trucks.

dodgeram2500, what all do you need from the 47re? It might be easier to find the 47re case and use guts from a 46rh/re or buy aftermarket as needed. There isn't too much difference between the 46 and 47 rh/re trannys other than planets and OD clutch pack clutch count.
