Ok I was doing some maintenence stuff on my tow pig this weekend. Ran the valves & wanted to pull the MAP & IAT sensors to clean. Well I followed the directions @ Moparman's website from CF. Got the map sensor out and cleaned it, and found what I thought to be the IAT sensor but it was unplugged? I looked around for a plug but did not find one? This should be plugged in somewhere correct? I'm still very green to 24V's. Shouldn't this throw a code? I have none. This would affect mileage wouldn't it? 265's & 3.55's and I'm still only getting 15mpg.

That's definitely not to your sensor. I think that's a connector to supply power to the Cummins Inline2 adapter so they can run Insite and whatnot. The earlier trucks had that on them. Then they found that they could save probably $0.25 by removing so they did.

mine never through a code when I had the hole plugged, the grid heaters didn't work though

Well I didn't stretch the plug out to get good pic, but that plug does go to that sensor if that's what you meant?:what: Where is the IAT sensor located if that isn't it?

My grids work perfectly? :what:

If I unplug that sensor, my grid heaters still work, and it also throws a code.

Sorry, I was talking about what you had circled in red.

Is that the gray triangular 3 pin connector below in that picture? Like what you would connect an Edge box or similar to?

The plug circled in red is attached to the sensor circled in blue. Was just hard to hold myself over the motor & get a good pic.

Not sure what the grey plug is, but the one your talking about is up by the VP but buried down close to the frame rail. You can see the map sensor my Quadzilla is plugged into in the first pic.

Hmm, you got me then. Sounds like a connector that someone else put in there then. Sorry I'm not any help then.

You can't find out where the other end is? Its gotta be in there somewhere.
