It's a small N/A V8. I found it while searching for early 20th century mine portals. I think it was abandoned after finishing a nearby bridge

Could be a triple nickel of it's a v8. I know they had a gas abortion mess at one time. I don't know those engines if I looked at them though. Past my time. Where are you at though. I have never found that kinda stuff just up and left

I cant identify the engine, although there is a spark plug laying on it in the pic.

Usually 903s had the 903 casted into the rocker cover. Looks similar to the 555 in our versatile.

Big South Fork of the Cumberland River.
It was in a sketchy place so I vacated before I saw the spark plug, but lack of fuel injection is what tipped me off.

Mechanic buddy of mine said its a 555. He said look in the valley and if it's leaking oil it's definitely a triple nickel, haha.

Looks like a triple nickel to me. Gutless wonders...

We haven't had many issues out of our 555 besides the cast up pipes to the turbo breaking. There were big and small cam versions so I'm sure that makes a difference in worth.

They are a neat little engine, seems to be pretty economical too.

No, that's just where Rogers is from. The machine is 100-125 miles from there.
