I'm pulling my hair out here trying to find information on Bosch DN0SD- series nozzles on the internet.
The short of it, I want to put some 6.2L GM nozzles in my 524td. Why? They're cheap and plentiful. Will they fit? That's where I need some help.
DN0SD248 - GM 6.2L (early)
DN0SD259 - BMW M21 (524td)
What I've found so far..
GM 6.2L nozzles interchange with VW IDI nozzles
VW IDI nozzles interchange with Mercedes Benz OM6xx, but have an incorrect spray pattern that can cause damage (swirl chamber v. precombustion chamber)
M21, GM 6.2L and VW IDI motors have very similar swirl chamber combustion cavities
Pop pressures: 6.2L (turbo app) 144 bar | M21 (also turbo) 150 bar
The only concerns I have now are physical fitment, needle lift and pintle profile.
Anyone want to jump in this one?
