what would cause a vp truck to idle higher after a long trip?

for some reason after coming back from a long trip today my truck was idling at around 1100rpm.... I shut it off and recranked, it idled normal, but then drove some more and it was idled up again.....same vp for a few yrs....never done this before... and no codes

I know the common rails idle up when it's running hot, were your temps normal?

yes temps were the same as usual..... water around 190ish and oil around 200-205ish

figured one or the other.... we shall see soon which it is... i hasn't done this since..... just that day after about 300 miles

Ill be watchin this post. Mine does this also. Replaced Apps with Timbo's about 6 months ago. Unhooked Redline and Edge Comp and still does this. Its almost like it wants to high idle like its 25 deg out. Gonna check some sensors with the Solus today.
