Anyone have any idea what could cause this? it only does it when the engine is up to temp. on a cold engine it just has a very slight white haze, once it gets to about 160 water temp it starts with the puffs of black smoke and very slight stumble at idle. It runs fine up in the rpm's, no other issues, oil does not event have a hint of fuel smell to it, no blow by, im thinking maybe the pop-offs need to be checked?

you know...that does make sense. these are SAC nozzles so there is a little orifice there thats gonna hold a little extra fuel after it fires

Mine doesn't do this at all with a sac style nozzle. Just a white haze. Never seen puffs of black at idle before.

Ive seen black at idle, but its more constant than that. The studder and stumble narrows it down to 1 or 2 injectors.

But like you said. pop offs might be a little low in those injectors.

I sent the video to Lenny to see what he says. I think a pop-off or two might be out of line. either way i love the way it runs now!

Yeah from the looks of it, im just seeing a slight puff every time a certain cylinder fires and its consistant each time.

thats what i noticed originally which makes me think its an injector and not anything else. its pretty consistent with the black puff as if its limited to one cylinder
