Idle question

I've done some searching and cant find what I'm looking for. The problem is when I first start my pickup it idles about 200 rpm (about 800rpm) lower than set. Once I drive it or let it warm up it idles at just below 1k which is where I have it set at. It doesn't matter if the temp is 30* or 80*. It did this stock and with little mods.

What he said. Its the nature of a mechanical pump engine since it doesent have an ECM telling it what RPM to idle at.
