When slowing down to stop at any speed above about 10mph idle is 950rpms approximatly and then drops to 850rpms approximatly at around 10mph. Couldn't find anything doing a search that explained this rpm change at 10mph.

What about a dragging pilot bearing or failing clutch? Seems something is dragging the motor down? Just a quick shot at it. $.02

Why would it show up at 10mph and not all the time? Haven't heard or felt anything to make me think something in clutch was bad.

Mine does the exact same thing not sure wat it is tho it. Maybe the a/c compressor? Or grid heater?

My 05 and 03 work truck does it to when slowing down in neutral bounces up and down from 8something to 950ish, 05 is g56 03 is nv5600.

Noticed yesterday when rolling down hill as speed pasted 10mph the rpms went up to 950 from 850. Something to do with electronic setup.

its something in the electronics.. our 01' has done it since new nothin to worry about
