In need of DANA 70 DRW rear!

I need a Dana 70 Dually rear, preferably 3.54 geared. And LSD, but not necessary. Let me know, I need this truck back on the road. Thanks.:poke:
 
Must be out of a DRW, going back in a dually. Thanks for the offer though.
 
Did they make D70 DRW? I thought all the duallies had 80s?
 
i have a d-70 out of a first gen dually have not checked to see what gear is in it and i assume it is a open diff.
 
How much do you want for it and where are you located?

Yeah, all 1st gens are D70's. 80's didn't start until the 2nd unfortunately, I wouldn't mind finding one for this truck but I can't be picky at this point.
 
A srw D80 might be as wide as your drw D70.
I have one from an 02 and it is about 6 inches wider. the studs are 9/16 though, not 5/8 like yours.

Have you tried Diesel Truck Resource? Lots of 1st genners over there.
 
I've tried DTR and absolutely no response. I have a line a a D80 from my buddy, I hate to put another open rear in it but I think he'll sell it cheap. I don't really like the idea of the smaller studs but I love the idea of a D80.

I doubt you'll have a problem with the 9/16" studs on the D80.
 
I put a 99 D80 in my 92 D350 and it was a near bolt in. Only modifications I had to do were bore out the mounting plates for the leafs (4" tube on D80 vs ~3.5" on th e70) and shorten the driveshaft 1-1/4". Brake lines fit, and with the 13x3.5 shoes, it improved my braking a bunch.

For the better braking, bigger guts, and outboard drums (do brake job w/o R&R of the hubs), I'd live with an open diff for a while. Put a limited slip in when you slow down a little.

FWIW- the dually axles are the same width wheel mounting surface to wheel mounting surface.

I have a friend in StLouis with an extra D70, but I dont know if he wants to sell it or not. 3.54 DRW P/U, LSD

Ok well the D80 deal fell out quicker than I thought and not to my benefit.

i have a drw dana 70, limited slip, but has 4.10 gears, also has new brakes.
it was put under a ford f350 so i had to cut off the spring perches and weld them in a little further.

I have a 3.54 LSD unit just need a rear to put it in. How much do you want for it?
