used the search, couldnt answer to my?? my 02 has pump in the tank. put fp guage on and im getting 5psi. fp didnt drop on the trip home not over 40 mph. will the pressure be lower from intank pump compared to one on the block or rail?? talked to many people half that i know personally and some shops and getting mixed answers. always took to heart anything under 10= weak lift pump, now this...need some clarification.

You are looking for volume rather than pressure true, but they play off of one another and I don't think 5psi of FP will deliver the volume you need. Where and how were you measuring pressure?

Sounds like you might have a weak pump, try doing a flow test on it. If that comes out low (Which I would be willing to bet will happen) I would look into something different. The in tank pump setup is not known for it's superb performance attributes.

Ive had intank pump for a few years now, run a BD auxzillary pump in line with it and have had no problems at all. 20psi at idle 16 psi wot.

I run a Holley Red on the frame rail with my in-tank. 15psi idle--14psi cruising and 10psi at WOT with the Adrenaline on PL10. I've read that the in-tank puts out about 8psi. I would say that it is a fairly high volume though considering the #'s I'm gettin with running the Holley and the in-tank together. I never check my FP with the in-tank only, so I can't tell ya what it was before the addition of the Holley.
