Figured I'd post this here. I it needs to be somewhere else move it or let me know.

I have a '98 24V 47RE auto RWD that I have put the 12V out of my '95 in. Everything's working fine except immediately after start-up. When first started the alternator doesn't charge and the first shift, 1-2, will not happen until you get the truck up to @ 20mph. After this everything works perfectly until you shut it off again. The alternator will start charging after it sits and idles for a few minutes. That first shift is HARD which leads me to believe it is not being commanded by the PCM. I typically run it up to @ 20mph and let off like a manual shift and when I get back in it it has or will shift.

I'm pretty sure this is a PCM/sensor issue, not a tranny issue. I am running the ECM and PCM from the '98 24V. I have installed 24V coolant temp, oil pressure, intake air temp senor, and the 24V APPS. I have the 24V crank sensor working off of a 36-1 tone wheel(same as the 24V crank tone ring) mounted to the harmonic balancer. Tranny is the 47RE which I had rebuilt and installed a Goerends CP valve body and Goerends TC.

I have these codes:

P1693 – DTC detected in companion module
P0237 – MAP sensor voltage too low
P1689 – No communication between ECM and Injection pump module

which will be permanent without a VP44 and a MAP sensor.

Just can't figure it out. Any ideas?

Huh. Must have y'all stumped..........

Come on, somebody's got to know.

I'd suggest getting a scanner on it.
It may be the crank sensor signal.
Just giving you a bump on it.
