Wondering what would cause a couple of my lines to leak where they screw in the head. They have been on and off a couple times. Do they usually wear out? They r as tight as i can get them. :charger:

first off they don't need to be that tight, they will mushroom the ends of the connector tubes, are you sure it's not the tube o-rings? alot of times that is what it is

if not try to reseat the lines or clean the ends up and reseat them, if that doesn't work you might have to buy a new line

x2 on that! your going to need to take the line off and check for debree cracks or if it warped from over tightening. and also check the crossovertube o rings

I think the tubes are harder than the lines. You can hurt the lines if you crank on them over and over.Try running it and loosen them until it starts to miss then just snug them back up.Used lines are about 100.00.I would check the o rings first.

try lapping them with compound to mate the surface. worked a few times for me.

Well I know on the common rails the tubes are softer than the lines and it is recommended that the tubes be replaced after they have been taken in and out a couple of times because they no longer pop into the injector correctly.

I was talking to Joe H and i wanted to send him my tubes to drill out.I was wondering if they were good.I was under the impression they are harder.I diddnt want to put money into them if they were shot.I dont want to put words in his mouth but thats my understanding. Mine are ok because the lines will mash first.I guess i should call him again to make sure.
