The search feature on CompD will be your best friend. There is information for days. Enjoy!

Tranny work. Auto a torque converter and valve body Atleast. Manual a nice aftermarket clutch
3/4k gsk
Tune Afc, slide afc and remove fuel plate
Boost elbow or pinch off line
Delivery valves. You have 131s. You can find 181s or 191s for cheap if you keep your eyes open.
Don't forget the intake and exhaust side of it too.

OOh yeah gauges should be your first mod along with the tranny! Atleast boost and egt but with a auto tranny the tranny temp is a good one too.
ofv is also a good free mod. search "pen spring mod" once you get a fuel pressure gauge.

tranny is an automatic straight from XDP its got a Built 47-RH Automatic Transmission, billet triple disc torque converter, extra deep transmission pan, billet input shaft, Commander Torque Converter Lock-Up Controller, Billet Flex Plate and a Billet Intermediate Shaft,(i went all out on the transmission because i know how dodges are with their automatics). and i do have a 4k govener spring kit. as far as intake goes i have a banks cold air on it that i just got yesterday took out the fuel plate as well, now as far as exhaust i was thinking 8in stacks, any thoughts?:bang:thankyou2:

This is the old school thinking, tons of people think the dodge auto's suck, but they really aren't bad if you do a few small things to set them up correctly. Back when these came out the auto was not really built to take the abuse the owners were putting them through, towing HEAVY loads ect. Now with the better technology, knowledge and aftermarket parts It doesent take much to get these transmissions to hold a decent amount of Horsepower.

Decent horsepower being 450-500hp

with no plate and an 8" stack you better have a 5 point harness in there

IMO 8'' stacks are WAY overkill. I personally think anything over 6'' is getting on the stupid side of things. 8'' is HUGE in person, spend your money on something that will make it faster...not dumber.

Agreed. A valve body alone can hold 450hp reliably assuming you don't drive like a dumbass.

That would be perfect. If your penis is less than 3" though, you might want to step up to 10" to make sure you are compensating enough...

:hehe: Awesome! You know most 14.0L+ diesels come with only 5" or 6" (diameter) stacks right?

Ya stacks dont add power. They can sounds good though. I have dual 6" mitres on my Ford and they sound wicked (straight pipe), but...I hate how everyone assumes im a redneck hillybilly right away.

They also create some stupid annoying resonant vibrations at certain speeds/constant RPM. Inbetween 70-75MPH they vibrate so much literally have to yell to hear yourself. Besides that there actuall fairly quite just cruising. I had them done by a proffesional diesel shop/fabricator so its not some hack job either. I might go to a single or just take them off all together.

For stack(s) I would do a single 6" or 7" (MAX) mitre cut. A single sounds better, has less random rattles, and obscure souds IMHO. Dual stacks on a engine with a single turbo, thus single DP and exhaust pipe...not neccesary. If you've got a Detroit Diesel 12V-71TT, thats a different story :)

Im wrestling with the idea of a single 6" or 7" mitre on my Dodge right now, I would love the sound and being able to hear the exhaust note in the cab better. Im not sure I want the "look" of a stack and the "image" it brings. IDK...
