Let me get some insight for the Airwerks S300, 61/71 1.38 A/R, T4 foot (PN# 168824) My interest with this specific model is driven by the fairly low price tag-

(pic and some specs are incorrect, part number is correct)

here's a link to the airwerks catalog with compressor map (pg 11):

Here's the intent:
- shooting for 600-650whp
- to go over HT3B (76mm comp, 22cm exh. housing)
- Be used with an ED external wastegate and spacer plate, T4
- bolt to PDI/ATS T4 manifold

Is it worthy for the ~650whp mark? specs seem worthy, and the proposed setup would be leaps and bounds above using the HX35 I currently have.

Very slow to spool, I don't believe the compressor wheel is an extended tip, and the turbine housing is huge. It also a T4

Just get a different turbine housing for it and I would think you'd be good. Extended tip or not, a 62mm ett wheel flows like 65lb/min, and this flows 62lb/min. Doesn't seem like too much of a difference.

They'll sell you a .70 non wastegated housing with it for around $300.

they offer a 1.15, 1.38 and 1.51 housing for that specific model. Like I said I'm looking at the price and comparative performance for a new charger.

what would the 1.15 housing be comparable to in cm^2? I'm new to looking at A/R's and judging spool.

i'm wanting the T4 foot as well.

dear lord I need to redo my calculations, I had the 1.38 coming in around 14. (dont laugh haaha)

could someone give me a little help coming up with that equivalent area?

60/68, .91 with ETT comp. wheel, T4 divided housing:

I've read about the T4 flange size being the bee's knees for twins, anyone care to input?

(I also failed to mention ED has quoted me a 62/71/14 with T4 foot and their gate setup-- I'm just exploring some options before I pull the trigger on anything)

I run a .90 t4 on mine and it really doesn't start to come on until about 2200

If you use the correct manifold/header with it and not just an adapter plate.

why the larger turbine and housing on the secondary if you are only looking for 600 horse?

thought a 57 or 62/65 would get you there no problem

and obviously spool a lot sooner

?

Room to grow.

Whenever I get the cash I'm going to go with the 62 that ED quoted me, external gate setup, and most likely a PDI manifold (or header)

sorry, i didnt read the post correctly while answering above.

As far as I know, ED has quoted me (maybe Glenn will pop in) a 62/71/14 with T-4 foot turbine housing. That is an acceptable charger.
