what type of insurance do you guys have on your pullers,
I dont drive mine on street any more, and my insurance is about to expire and wanting to explore other options then normal insurance

I still carry normal insurance but the value of the truck has been increased to cover the "extra" parts installed.

comprehensive only on mine. cheep as hell and you can add coverage for extra parts.

I still have a small loan on it, so needs more then comprehensive, and now if something happens to it from time i pull into a event i am not covered since its used in a competition

Do they have an insurance to cover incase a part came off the truck and hurt a spectator?

tell them its a show truck. your showin it right.

hopefully anywhere you are pulling has a blanket insurance package to cover competitors from liability. thats why associations and places that have regular pull dates are the way to go they normally are covered.

Have the truck appraised and then get insurance on that amount and for any damage that may occur and just have them insure it during the months that you use it. Most places will give you storage insurance also if you have a dollar amount that it is worth. Just like if you had a classic car or something along those lines.

This will not cover you if something comes off of the truck and hurts someone in the stands, that is covered normally by the pull organizers or pulling organization that you run with.

Good luck!

Subscribing. I slipped up an told my insurance agent to much trying to explain I only needed minimum body damage coverage....yeah got the phone call today they are dropping my 97. Been with them since I was 16 (10 yrs) kinda disappointed only reason I still insure it is because I just had it painted last fall before it went full time pulling truck.

I told my insurance company what I did with it(sled pull only) and they said no problem. I insured it as a classic car/truck so incase of a engine fire it would be covered for what it is worth and if the body is damaged it to would be covered. I had to give them a total amount of what to cover.

Would you guys name off your Ins companies please? At least the ones who know what you do with the truck! LoL

That is the way to go. Sometimes it can get somewhat expensive but you also won't have to insure it all year long either.

Mine is State Farm Insurance. I don't actually have insurance on my puller but I did ask them about it and it wouldn't be a probelm. Good Luck!

you all do know that most all insurance companies will void your policy if competeing in any sport that is competeing for money.

If I can catch an adjuster tomorrow Ill ask about this. I dont want to have them monetary equivalent of a house get stolen and Im just SOL.

American Modern gave me a policy that has a competition rider. If the truck is on the track or competing on the street, it's not covered. Otherwise, the full stated value policy applies.

no one wants that hunk of junk lol

yeah if just just come out and tell most of them what you do with it they are more inclined to help instead of lieing or dodging around how you use it.....
