Intake heater delete

[SOOT FOOT !!!]

Has anyone done the intake heater delete? I put on a CFM + hi ram intake the stock intake really chokes down air flow, but noticed that the heating element is a major air flow restriction. If so how much did you pick up by doing the delete? My truck is an 03 w/ a smarty pod, cfm+ afe stage 2, 4 inch straight pipe,music to my ears.

i just did it on mine. easy 30 minute install. got mine from glacier. cant realy tell if it made a difference or not but it looks alot cleaner!!!

I dont think theres much to gain there, other than looks.

Not much maybe 5hp? Just makes airflow uninterrupted which is a plus.

with the grid heater deleted how well does it start, when it warm and when its sat all night
