what is the best intake horn? the banks type that gets wide and then narrows down or just a peice of manderal bent pipe?

To be honest I think money can be better spent elsewhere. If I had to make the choise again I would not buy one. I have an ATS. I think the manderal bent pipe might be the best

I got a AFE bladerunner. Money can be spent better elsewhere...but it sure looks good. :D PM "Snedge" for a price. Tell him I sent ya. I bought mine from him.

You guys have had issues with them?

Not personally, no. I have read thread of the detonating....so it is just hear/say from my side. Carbon fiber is very strong in two or three axis. Very weak in the 3rd...and the 3rd is what PSI is pushing on. So, from a mech eng stand point, I see weakness....cool factor...very nice.

I like metal. $.02

Unfortunetly I believe they aren't even carbon fiber, just plastic with a carbon fiber look/finish.

yea i like metal i thought that the pipe would just keep the air flowing the same as the intercooler tube instead of have a big dead spot before entering the maifold seems like it would just slow the air down but i dont know

Take a look at the AFE bladerunner. It is "advertised" to reduce dead spots....but it may be propaganda, I didn't test anything. I liked the look and went with it.

Go with the stock manifold, save you money for something useful. The manifolds on a 2nd gen do not add any power.
