intake shelf mill off

Anybody got any pics or tips on milling off the intake shelf for a runner intake. Thanks

I am in same dilemma, just recently moved to Florida and can't find anyone local that has done before, I have a ZZFAB all polished w/ spray bars ready to go on

As long as they have a decent mill or a CNC to use it is pretty straight forward, zzfab has good pics and explanation of it on their website.

Just cut it off and mill it flat down to the seal surface of the valve covers. Put plugs in the 2 water ports and let them be cut flat too

My buddy just used a handheld band saw cut the plenum off. And then you just mill it flat.

I use 7" grinder cut off wheels, they work the best I have tried the saw blades and its a waste of time IMO cut of wheels and a steady hand it will take just a couple minutes to do. Before I used just a plane old Enco mill with a fly cutter to mill the intakes, I now have access to a really nice cnc. Any machine shop can do it if you have all the dimensions for them.
