I don't know much at all about the 2nd gen. I have a friend that explained over the phone what he needs and doesn't know where to get it. He has a '98 12v

Apparently he blew out the turbo to intercooler hose/pipe ?

He said it kinda looks like a 90. He did says it goes from the turbo to the intercooler though ( he called it the radiator )

do you guys know what he was talking about and where i could find one for him ? I'm assuming it's a bit different than the newer trucks

Ty there is a 90 elbow at the compressor outlet with a v-band clamp on the compressor side and intecooler boot on the other

The boots on a 2nd gen are 45* at the intercooler & straight boots at turbo & air horn. The 45* boots usually bust from the inner fender cutting into them when the boots expand from high boost. I have a few stockers here, but he is better off buying a set of aftermarket boots/clamps.

And tell him to take some pliers and bend the inner fender up away from the lower boots on both sides. He will have to do it if he gets the HD boots but if he goes with stock it will help ensure they won't rub again.

Bend the inner fenders and also look at getting the HD boots from a semi parts shopp. Napa also has some really good boots too. But ur better off getting a boot for a semi. thats wat i have to use on my truck. I also went ahead and got some semi boot clamps to hold it in place so they can hold more pressure.
