intercooler boots

How do the stock boots hold up? putting a s400 on the truck and not sure if I would go ahead with some better boots or not.

Just my experience from when I moved up to a 467.7 from an s364 the boots didn't seem to be the issue, it was the crappy stock clamps. I kept popping boots off but never split one. I bought this kit from a fellow forum member and continued using the stock boots with the upgraded clamps from the kit and never had another issue with a boot blowing off.

I would go ahead and invest in some new boots made with aramid. And if you are going to do clamps go with Mikalor supra w2's.

I'm cheap so I got a 3-foot section of Gates big rig silicone hose and am gonna double up the clamps on the turbo side of the intercooler. I'll let y'all know how it holds up, Thanks for the suggestions.
