I checked for boost leaks because I've noticed that I've lost 5lbs boost. The intercooler is leaking around 2 cores where it meets the tank. Can it be fixed with solder or brass?

You can fix it but its just going to bust out in more places. It really needs to be fixed with aluminum.

Go buy a spearco i lost 200deg in pulling temps with mine i love it.

I'm just trying to get by for now until the bank is right. I have too many other things to take care of to make the wifey happy. You know, pool needs a new pump, filter, skimmer & $1400 worth of water. New mulch for the 2 acres of flower beds. I'm remodeling the house, have 7 rooms done out of 14 & the baby is growing fast & needing new toys, cloths. I've been buying too much stuff for myself & now it is her turn.

is it on the passenger side right where the air coming from the turbo hits the end tank??

been there done that budy. You can pull some of the ribs out of it. enought to get in there. Get some kind of epoxy that will adhear to aluminum. Clean it up real good and put the epoxy in the area around where the tubes meet the end tanks. You might as well do several cause its going to do it again. Or you can pull the cooler out and take it to a welding shop and have them heliarc all the spots where the tubes meet the tank. But thats going to cost some bills.

I have 2 part adhesives, but don't have 24 hours dry time. I'm gonna try to find a intercooler tomorrow local.

yeah and make sure you get some good aluminum cleaner. and just pull some of the ribs out so you can get in there to clean and get the gunk in there really good

do you know of a radiator repair shop locally? maybe you could get someone to TIG your crack

I was gonna call the local rad. shop tomorrow. I am gonna compare cost of fixing/buying used & see how it goes. I have to tow in the morning, but not far & the rad shop isn't far from there. Hope it holds.

it will i had the whole end where the end tanks connected come appart on mine and i didnt even know it. Went and dynoed my truck and made 565hp with my innercooler comming apart. It sure did make a hell of a noise. You will be ok

Thing is going to pull this trailer to this job tomorrow if its the last trailer it pulls. My brother is following me, but he is pulling a trailer also. Of course I get the heavy one since his clutch slips with it.

i hauled my dads 17000lbs doser and 5000 trailer with mine all blown apart. You shouldnt have a problem.

What is different? I've checked around on aftermarkets & they have the same part# for 94-02 CTD. Stock isn't the same?

I think the tubes of the innercooler are just smaller. but thats it. its just not as efficent as a newer cooler.
