interesting question (gear splitters)

Hi all...

I was doing some thinking and i was thinking I was going to go with a ZF6 for my swap

right now i have a 2003 F250 5.4L gasser with 4r100 tranny

now... the transfer case hooks up to the 4r100 so i would need a new transfer case for the zf6 - right?


the other thing i was just researching and thinking was to go with the 4r100 beefed up and get a gear splitter - how F-ing cool would that be?

but are there gear splitters out there that can handle power?

I think a GearVendors Overdrive will handle just about all the power you will realistically throw at it...

i just dynod at 430/956 with mine. but you cant use a gv while in 4 wheel drive. you would have to get a U.S gears. they go in between the transfer case and the tranny i believe

crabble - what kind of MPG are ya getting with that power? 33mpg must be a joke right?
