Got in the truck a few days ago and all it would do is click when trying to start it. I figured, ok starter relay bad. Replaced it today and she fired off about 8 times, "hell yeah no more starting it with a screwdriver"!
Wrong. Same crap again this morning, no start. Although there isn't that distinct click now either. Just won't start.
I replaced about all I knew to do with an issue like this, the relay. Maybe 3 out of 10 times it would start with the key, otherwise I have to jump the starter.
Starter going bad? Bad wiring somewhere? I don't think it's the starter itself cause it's never givin me any bad noises and fires off just fine. Key or screwdriver. So I'm leaning toward an wiring issue of the sort.
