is it a bad pcm?

i have a 96 12v with a built auto the trans only has a couple hundred miles on the problem is my speedo isnt working at all an the trans starts in drive most of the time so i put a knew governor solenoid in it today even though the other one was brand new like 200 miles on it an still samething no speedo an starting in drive, if i pull it in to first still starting in second then sometimes it will start in first an will shift to second but wont come out of second ive been talking with lavon from firepunk hes the one that did trans for me an hes been a great help an he mentioned something bout the pcm an its kinda what i was leaning towards also i was wondering if any one else had any opinions before i start trying to track down a pcm any help would be great
