Is it better just to go ahead and p pump a 24 va or buy a new injection pump. only looking to make around 600 hp to the ground

What do you use the truck for?

600 at the ground is about the upper end of a VP truck.. But, the nice thing about a VP truck is that you can adjust the power with much greater ease. If you decide you need to tow, you can turn it down with the touch of a button.

Personally, my issue with the VP isn't it's power. I only wanted to make about 500 useable HP at the rear wheels, which I'm damn close to. I love the adjustability. However, I don't trust the VP. I realize that it will, most likely, fail again in the future.. Because of that, I want to replace it with a p-pump.

I'd suggest to just put a VP back on the truck. 600 has been done with a single turbo and some moderate injectors. If you want more, twins could probably get you there.

Only if you need more RPM (over 4k) would I suggest a p-pump.
